Future by Design
Future by Design is a 12-week, one-on-one life-coaching program for young adults ages 17–21. It helps them gain clarity about the life they want, make intentional decisions about their future, and create a realistic plan for moving forward. This isn't simply career coaching — career and education decisions may be part of the process, but the program begins with the young adult's bigger vision for their life. Together we explore what matters to them, how they want their future to look and feel, and what kind of work, education, finances, lifestyle, and opportunities could support that vision. Young adults don't need to have their entire lives figured out. They need a direction that makes sense for them, a process for evaluating their options, and support taking their next steps.
What we'll work on
- A clearer picture of the life they want to build.
- Greater awareness of their values, priorities, strengths, and preferences.
- A better understanding of the financial and practical realities of their desired lifestyle.
- A thoughtful direction for career, education, or other next-step decisions.
- A realistic, personalized action plan.
- Greater confidence making decisions — without believing every choice must be permanent.
- Accountability for taking meaningful steps forward.
Who it's for
Designed for young adults ages 17–21 who may feel uncertain or overwhelmed about their future; have several interests but struggle to choose a direction; be unsure whether college, employment, trade school, military service, entrepreneurship, or another path is right for them; worry about choosing the wrong path and wasting time or money; lack motivation because they can't see how their current choices connect to a life they want; have goals or dreams but don't know how to turn them into a realistic plan; need structure, accountability, and an objective adult perspective; feel pressured by other people's expectations; or want more ownership over their decisions and future.
How it works
Twelve weeks of private, one-on-one coaching. One 45-minute session each week, personalized around the young adult's goals, circumstances, and desired future. Includes guided exercises and planning resources, practical action steps between sessions, accountability and support throughout the 12 weeks, between-session Voxer support, and a clear plan for continuing forward after the program ends.
For parents
Parents often want to help, but conversations about college, careers, money, motivation, and the future can become emotional or repetitive. Coaching does not replace the parent or choose the young adult's future for them. It provides structure, accountability, honest questions, and an outside professional perspective so they can take ownership of their decisions. Jen won't tell the young adult what career to choose or make decisions for them — she helps them think through their options, understand the realities of those options, and develop a plan they're willing to own. The emphasis is on clarity, decision-making, planning, experimentation, and forward movement — not a guaranteed outcome like one perfect career, school admission, or job offer.
